MGC is a prime provider of Greater Manchester’s Working Well Personalised Support service, leading on the contract in Manchester, Salford, and Trafford. Commissioned by GM Combined Authority and part-funded by the European Social Fund, the service is designed to help people overcome challenges they may face in getting a job or progressing in work. The service is delivered by MGC subsidiary The Work Company, together with Armstrong Works and Pathways CIC.
After referral to the service by Jobcentre Plus, a dedicated Keyworker will work with you to understand your abilities and needs, and pull together a range of local support to meet those needs. Your Keyworker will help to ensure that services work together to get the right help to you, at the right time. Depending on your needs you’ll have access to:
- Health and Wellbeing support
- Confidence and Motivation Building
- Debt, housing, welfare, and money advice/support including better-off calculations
- Volunteering and Work Experience
- Skills Development
- Job vacancies with local employers
- Self-employment advice
- Other specialist support
Once you move into employment, we’ll continue to work with you for up to a year, including
helping you to access the skills and support you need to progress in your career.
