Meeting the UK’s climate change targets will require businesses to innovate, developing the products and services which will become the mainstay of our zero carbon circular economy. The Growth Company is looking to bring together a group of innovation experts, who will form part of our tender response to BEIS’ Net Zero Support Service. This is a £10 million, 4 year programme to help companies supported through BEIS’ new Net Zero Innovation Portfolio. We are looking for skilled individuals who are experienced in supporting companies on their innovation journey across: market segmentation; business development and sales; strategy and business planning; technology; product; team; supply chain and operations; fund raising; and intellectual property.
We are looking to appoint a bank of associates which, when combined with our in house expertise, enables GC to offer the widest possible range of support service across a very broad range of sectors, to any SME in the UK.
We are looking for skilled and knowledgeable associates who have proven experience in successfully delivering innovation support to SMEs in one or more of the following areas:
- Market segmentation and size
- Business development and sales
- Strategy and business planning
- Technology, including type of innovation, potential impact, external validation etc.
- Product, including feasibility, product life cycle assessment, product requirement specification, product launch etc.
- Supply chain & operations
- Fund raising
- Intellectual property
We are specifically looking at the provision of this support to companies related to products or services in the following technology areas:
- Renewable energy
- Smart energy and energy storage
- Built environment
- Carbon capture, utilisation and storage
- Climate science
- Cross cutting
Associates are expected to have a strong understanding and knowledge of the technology area in which the innovation is focused.
