Sheona leads Marketing Manchester, the Destination Management Organisation charged with promoting Greater Manchester on a national and international stage to visitors, investors, students and business conference organisers.

The agency is well respected nationally and regionally, working with key partners including VisitBritain, DIT, Manchester Airport Group, TfGM, Manchester Central, airlines, businesses, GMCA, Local Authorities and other DMOs and over 400 private sector partners; as well as GM’s key education, cultural and sporting brands; to raise the profile of Greater Manchester as a global city region to visit, invest, meet and study.

With a wealth of experience across media, retail and destination promotion, prior to joining Marketing Manchester Sheona ran her own destination consultancy, working with clients across the UK, and previously held senior roles at the BBC, Cumbria Tourism, Teamtalk Media Group Plc, Marks & Spencer and was also a commissioned officer the in the RAF.
