Aspire Recruitment Scoops Top Award

Aspire Recruitment has won a top honour at the flagship Recruitment Business Awards event, held at the Manchester Mercure Hotel. The national awards are now in their thirteenth year and aim to seek out and reward the top talent in the recruitment industry across the UK.

The award was in the ‘Best Candidate Experience' category, and featured highly successful recruitment campaigns for both Robinson’s Brewery at The Airport Pub, as well as the National Careers Service.  Julie McMenamin, Recruitment Service Manager for Aspire said:  “It’s wonderful news that we’ve overcome opposition from large and small recruitment agencies right across the country to win this prestigious award.  This success is a great tribute to the hard work and dedication of the whole team at Aspire who are striving every day to ensure that our candidates feel happy and rewarded, and that all our employers’ needs are being met.”

One of the case studies in the successful award nomination was the recruitment of new staff for the National Careers Service (NCS).  Christine Brown, Service Manager for NCS said:  “Aspire were fantastic in their service to us. They were tasked with finding local candidates who excelled in customer service, and they certainly delivered.  The candidates that they sourced for us have made a huge impact on our outcomes and profit, and perfectly fit the bill.  I wouldn’t hesitate to use Aspire again, and would be more than happy to recommend them elsewhere.”

James Russell from Manchester was one of the successful candidates that Aspire placed at Frederic Robinson’s newly opened Airport Pub.  James said:  “I previously worked for many years in the hospitality business before taking a break, but was eager to get back into it.  I relocated back to Manchester and was unemployed for two to three months.   I used online job sites, the jobcentre and various agencies but couldn’t find work.  I heard about the jobs at Frederic Robinson and met with Aspire.”

“They explained the positions available at the Airport Pub and as I’d missed the training courses, supported me on a one to one basis.  They went through what the employer was expecting from their staff and helped me with interview techniques.  I was successful in being offered a Duty Manager role and I’m excited to say I’m now becoming a tenant, and I’m about to view two pubs in Cumbria which I hope to take over running soon.  Without the support of Aspire I don’t think I’d have been able to fulfil my dream of running my own pub!   Aspire helped me refresh my skills and build a strong career.”
