Staff and learners from Skills Solutions training centres and Churchgate Academy took part in Key103’s annual Mission Christmas appeal.
The appeal, which is run by Key103 in partnership with the Manchester Evening News, aims to raise £1 million worth of toys to be donated to children living in poverty.
Mission Christmas supports the work of over 300 organisations who work with underprivileged children in the area, and strives to ensure that all children in Greater Manchester have a happy Christmas.
Dozens of brand new toys were brought in and gathered at Rochdale SkillCentre which was the designated dropping-off point. Alan Benvie, Skills Solutions’ Director of Study Programmes said:
“The learners and staff have done a brilliant job and I’m sure that their efforts will make a huge difference to the children who will receive all these toys.”
