The Growth Company is proud to have helped over 1,500 Greater Manchester residents become more digitally confident and engaged as part of our Digital 1000 strategy to upskill 1000 Greater Manchester residents.
As part of GM Digital Skills Day (7 February), we’re proud to celebrate this activity and explore the ways in which we can all do our bit to help to address the digital skills shortage and meet the demands of the future.
300 North West small and medium sized manufacturers have secured support, including specialised advice and £1.6M of funding, in the first year of the Made Smarter programme.
This week is Get Online Week, which is the UK’s biggest digital inclusion campaign. Here at the Growth Company, we’re passionate about helping the people of Greater Manchester to boost their digital skills and feel more confident online. So, we jumped at the chance to get involved.
Here at the Growth Company, we’re proud of the difference our Digital 1000 initiative will make to the lives of older residents across the ten local authorities of Greater Manchester. One of the headline statements set out by the Mayor is to ‘create opportunities to maximise skills and experience of older workers’ – and Digital 1000 will help us to do just that.
