GC Employment launches new service to help businesses diversify their workforce

Aspire in Partnership will focus on helping companies to hire from underrepresented talent groups. The service is designed to help businesses attract and retain best-in-class talent from a diverse range of backgrounds – creating a productive workforce and opportunities for all.   

Research has shown that recruiting a diverse workforce improves the bottom line, with companies in the top quartile for racial and ethnic diversity 35 percent more likely to have financial returns above their respective national industry medians. Meanwhile, companies in the top quartile for gender diversity are 15 percent more likely to have financial returns above their respective national industry medians.   

Aspire in Partnership (AiP) will offer a comprehensive recruitment solution covering temp, temp-to-perm, and permanent recruitment, across a wide range of roles and sectors. This will help companies make positive changes to their recruitment processes. 

AiP will offer companies help in: 

  • Hiring individuals from underrepresented backgrounds, including LQBTQ+, people with disabilities and health conditions, minority ethnic communities and gender networks 
  • Reviewing all candidates before they are submitted, so they can be confident all candidates that are selected for interview are prepared and are of a suitable standard   
  • Pre-training candidates in the key skills businesses are looking for – this allows them to hit the ground running, saving the organisation time on induction  
  • Advising on best practice when it comes to onboarding new starters, so they feel like part of the team straight away 
  • Helping businesses to take a fresh approach to induction, training and progression planning, so new hires develop with their business – this helps with staff retention, satisfaction and productivity
