The Growth Company has signed the Disability Employment Charter.

This charter calls on the government to implement proposals to close the employment gap between disabled and non-disabled people, which according to the charter is approaching 30%.

We have joined over 220 organisations in signing the Disability Employment Charter. By signing this charter, we have highlighted our commitment to inclusive recruitment, training and employment practices that contribute to a fairer and more equitable society.

Within GC the percentage of colleagues who have disclosed that they have a disability has increased by 6.1% from 9.7% (2020) to 16.8% (2024).

As an inclusive organisation, we are a Disability Confident Leader and support other companies to become leaders in this area.

Within GC we have a number of EDI networks including our Health and Wellbeing Network which covers all aspects of health, including disability, mental and physical health conditions. We offer a range of health and wellbeing-related training including workshops, online courses and short videos to enable our colleagues to continuously develop their skills and understanding.

At GC we continue to educate, share lived experience, and signpost to additional support on a range of topics and last year we launched our Disability Inclusion workshops and offer a number of tools, policies and guidance to support conversations around reasonable adjustments and wellbeing.
