Two GC leaders recognised in Northern Leaders list

Our CEO Mark Hughes and Joe Manning, Managing Director of MIDAS have been recognised in BusinessCloud’s Northern Leaders list.
Northern Leaders 2024 aims to shine a light on the leaders who have made – and continue to make – the biggest positive difference to the North.
Mark Hughes, Chief Executive
Mark Hughes MBE was featured in the list alongside the region’s 200 most influential leaders.
Mark was appointed group CEO in 2013. Prior to this he was chief executive at the North West Regional Development Agency, and was awarded an MBE for services to business in the North West.
Joe Manning, Managing Director, MIDAS
Joe Manning was featured in the Northern Leaders Futures list, which features leaders who are improving the North but were aged 45 or less at the start of the year.
Joe joined the Growth Company in 2023 as managing director of MIDAS, Manchester’s inward investment agency.
