Wayne Jones OBE

Wayne has worked in the Engineering & Manufacturing industry for over 30 years, from Mather & Platt in Manchester, the Weir Group, Sulzer and latterly at MAN Energy Solutions (part of the VW Group).

He has held various Management positions including as a Member of the Executive Board at MAN. He currently runs his own Consultancy business supporting Private Equity, Large Corporates, SME’s, Universities and Colleges in various aspects such a business growth, the process of change, Leadership & Management, etc.

Wayne is a proud Mancunian and is non-exec and past President of Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, was previously the Chair of the Stockport Economic Alliance and is an Alumni of the Trafford & Stockport College Group. As an ex-apprentice he champions various projects to support employees in recruiting young people into an apprenticeship program. In March 2016, he was honoured by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for his services to young people and the Northwest.
