Founded in February 2024, Hive Mind Innovations Ltd is transforming live music experiences through its flagship product, Brainrave.

Brainrave captures and visualises a DJ’s brain activity during a live performance and maps it onto a 3D model of a brain as an immersive visual sequence for the audience to see.

Hive Mind Innovations began working with Innovate UK Business Growth in August 2024, receiving 12 weeks of tailored support to sharpen their business vision and connect with potential investors.

With support from Tracy Eyres, Senior Innovation and Growth Specialist, the company has:

  • Secured funding for and completed an IP audit
  • Joined the Design for Growth programme to explore international markets and identify ideal target markets
  • Secured £36,000 in Creative Catalyst funding to support the growth of the business
  • Received some market intelligence from the NEG in Jan 25 on EU festivals to capture some contact points when they are ready to launch.

Tracy said: "At the beginning, the founders were still in their day jobs and lacked a clear roadmap to transition into the business full-time. They were just beginning to explore target markets and were unaware of their intellectual property.

"Now they aim to secure investment by the end of 2025 to bring on a development team, are working with a subcontract developer on the next stages of development, have created two new product offers and expect to look at global markets over the next year."
