The Growth Company has been shortlisted for three commsHERO Awards.
The commsHERO Awards celebrate individuals and teams in the marketing community who have demonstrated innovation and excellence across the communications sector.
The Growth Company’s Communications and Marketing team has been shortlisted in the Multi-Channel Campaign category for its GM T Levels campaign.
In partnership with the Greater Manchester Combined Authority and other stakeholders, the campaign generated significant employer engagement and take-up of T Level placements. It supports the GM Mayor's ambition to provide every young person a clear path and line of sight to good jobs and training opportunities across the city-region.
A truly multi-channel approach underpinned the campaign, from internal mobilisation through live briefings, toolkits, and a dedicated Teams channel, to external outreach via webinars, email marketing, LinkedIn ads, PR, out-of-home advertising, and targeted digital content. A huge thanks to all employer-facing colleagues who got on board and supported the campaign - you helped us make a huge impact!
In just three months, the campaign secured 444 confirmed placements starting this September, demonstrating the appetite for technical education and skills support which we will continue to build on across our wider skills provision.
The Communications team at Marketing Manchester has also been shortlisted for two awards.
Their Unmissable Music in Manchester campaign in 2024 received a nomination for Multi-Channel Campaign, after it achieved fantastic results raising awareness of Greater Manchester as a must visit destination for music fans from around the globe. Highlights include press coverage in major publications such as the New York Times, AFAR and National Geographic generating over 300 million Opportunities to See, and an increase of 940% in page views on Visit Manchester’s Music Events page.
The results of this campaign and their continued efforts to raise the profile of Greater Manchester have also led to a nomination for Team of the Year. This nomination is a testament to their dedication to promote Greater Manchester on the global stage, as well as their collaborative and empowering working relationships.
Winners will be announced at the commsHERO conference on 21 October in Manchester.
