Councillor Elizabeth Patel

Liz was elected to Trafford Council in 2018 having previously held an executive lead role in Leisure and Sport she is now executive lead for Economy and Regeneration covering areas around planning, inward investment, employment, skills and regeneration in the borough.

Graduating from Manchester University in 1997 she went on later in life to secure a master’s degree in Regeneration. Liz has a professional background in housing, construction, regeneration and economic development holding a number of roles in local authorities in Greater Manchester and for a private construction firm.

Liz is a member of Altrincham BID, is the STAR Procurement lead member for Trafford and has a particular interest in promoting social value and inclusive opportunities from economic growth. Liz enjoys spending time with her family and on voluntary roles supporting young families in Trafford.
