Elise Wilson

Born and raised in Stockport, Elise runs Littlewoods Butchers. A family business based in Stockport. She is multilingual and proud of her French heritage having read European Studies at Derby University and La Sorbonne in Paris.

During her time as Leader of Stockport Council, she led on the One Stockport Borough Plan, which sets out the long-term vision and priorities for Stockport, and all its partners, until 2030.

As the GMCA Economic Lead for Greater Manchester (GM) & Vice Chair of the GMLEP, Elise focused on GM’s economic growth, building upon Local Industrial Strategy, post-Brexit adjustments, and addressing climate change. Delivering GM’s new Economic Vision, a plan for innovation, green growth, and addressing inequalities. In addition, as a multilinguist, Elise steered on improving international relations and attracting inward investment. 

Elise continues to use her influence and experience from frontline politics as a member of Cambridge and Peterborough Combined Authority Improvement Board. She is also the Chair of Electricity NW Ltd Economic Growth Panel and a member of their Independent Oversight Group.
