Two Growth Company colleagues have been recognised at the inaugural ‘Everton in the Community’(EitC) Breakthrough Awards’ for their work with our EitC partnership, delivering the ‘Kick the Stigma’ programme’.

Sarah Wroblewski and Stephanie Seddon have been impeccable in delivering the successful eight-week health and wellbeing programme, delivered in partnership with Everton Football Club. Both have sought other ways we can work together to provide further opportunity and support for participants on the programme.

The Growth Company’s Merseyside Wellbeing Services recently celebrated the first group of men to complete the programme, which utilises the power of football. It consists of a range of wellbeing theory and practical sessions, as well as structured, coached football sessions and tours of Everton’s stadium so that participants understand their stressors/anxieties and a range of coping skills and thinking strategies to overcome these.

The Growth Company ‘Valued STAR’ for the month of March 2023

We’d also like to congratulate Sarah Wroblewski who has been selected as one of the recipients of our ‘Valued STAR’ award for the month of March 2023 - nominated by our colleagues. The awarding panel recognised how Sarah has gone above and beyond in demonstrating our shared values. Sarah also received this award during the ‘EiTC Breakthrough Awards’ ceremony - providing a double celebration.

Michelle Leeson, Managing Director of Employment at the Growth Company, said:

“It’s great to see this kind of work taking place, as it demonstrates the dedication of the colleagues we have working for our organisation and the passion they have for helping our customers and delivering our contracts.

“Sarah and Stephanie have made such a positive difference through the way they go about their work, but also how they represent themselves and the Growth Company to others. Achievements like these are very special and deserve recognition and appreciation.”

Reflecting on the success of the partnership, Dale Davies, EDP Coach at EitCs said:

“The Growth Company have truly gone ‘above and beyond’ to support participants to achieve their goals whilst embodying what partnership is all about - always looking to develop the offer for participants, whilst supporting with the here and now. This partnership has already helped two cohorts of participants to have a different outlook, which would have been different before this programme.”
