Green Economy has an exciting opportunity for colleagues living in either Greater Manchester or West Yorkshire to apply for discounted solar panel installation at their home.

Green Economy delivers the Solar Installer Accelerator, a training programme designed to accelerate the number of locally based businesses entering and benefiting from the UK's growing solar market.

The course provides qualified electricians with the skills and knowledge to enter the renewable energy market and run a thriving solar installation business. As part of this, the installers need to gain MCS Certification, which is the industry standard for anyone wanting to install solar panels in people's homes.

Green Economy is aiming to help with this stage of the process by matching homeowners with installers. In return for supporting the installers, the homeowner will get their installation at cost, with profit and labour costs removed.
