Applications are open for the new Our Pass cohort

Our Pass is funded by The Mayor of Greater Manchester and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority, and delivered in partnership with Transport for Greater Manchester and The Growth Company.
For a one-off £10 fee, those eligible to become an Our Pass member can travel on most local buses across Greater Manchester, any day of the week, for free. Their Our Pass card will get them where they want to go. Members can also get half-price off-peak 1 day and weekend travelcards on Metrolink.
To be eligible to apply for Our Pass as part of the next intake for 2023-2024, an applicant must reside in Greater Manchester and also be aged at least 16 and under 18 on 31 August 2023.
The application window for Year 11s to apply for the Our Pass membership is now open. Parents and carers of young people should apply now in time for the Autumn term, to make sure their dependents can join thousands of young people who already have access to free and discounted travel.
This year, an Our Pass membership is even more relevant for families during the cost-of-living crisis, giving them a helping hand as their children leave school and think about their journeys to access education, work, training, culture and leisure in the city-region.
Our Pass ‘Exclusives’ unlock offers and experiences such as discounts, special offers, free tickets, swimming and leisure passes, merchandise and taster sessions. These can be activated once your Our Pass membership is live and can be accessed on-the-go through the ‘Our Pass Exclusives App’.
We’ve launched a brand new Our Pass ‘Exclusive’ with TOTUM, open to all members and provides access to the premium benefits of a TOTUM Student+ membership – including a physical card that can be used when shopping on the high street. Our Pass members who have registered for and activated their ‘Exclusives’ account can apply for full ‘TOTUM Student +’ annual membership at a discounted rate of £9.99 (usually £14.99). Also, the first 5 young people to apply for the TOTUM Student + ‘Exclusive’ in May get their annual membership for free.
TOTUM Student+ members will also get a digital ISIC card, providing access to thousands of discounts when travelling abroad, a free tastecard (normally worth £34.99) so you can enjoy ‘2 for 1 meals’ at thousands of restaurants nationwide, ‘50% off’ pizza delivery from Domino’s, Papa John’s and Pizza Hut, ‘up to 50% off’ days out and super cinema ticket discounts.
Our Pass Members also have access to offers only available to TOTUM Student+ members, including ‘10% off’ every time you shop at Co-op, up to ‘20% off’ Fender, ‘up to 40%’ off Garmin and ‘10% off’ at Boots with an Advantage card.
The Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, said:

“We introduced Our Pass to unlock the city-region for 16- to 18-year-olds, helping them to get around and discover new horizons. Since it launched in 2019 the impact it’s had has been phenomenal, with 91% of young people saying it has increased their levels of personal freedom and 86% saying it has helped them take part in new experiences.
“Those new opportunities are now being boosted again by this new offer from TOTUM. I’m pleased that Our Pass is partnering with them to give young people access to more than 400 UK student discounts and offers in their pockets – right where they need them.”
